Controlled burning of key parts of the land is a very helpful thing. It keeps down brush that would choke out good plants, it revitalizes the soil, and it opens up the forest floors to sunlight. All this promotes healthy new growth. This area we are burning here is located between two hive clusters. By next spring, our bees will have some wonderful new wildflower growth to use in making their fantastic raw honey! Yum!
